I will go over the basics of modern script calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink - including hand positioning, the amount of pressure required to get varying stroke thicknesses in your calligraphy and writing out the alphabet. Absolutely no previous calligraphy experience is required. 

Over the course of the workshop, we will go over warm up and practice drills, a lower case alphabet, the fundamentals of connecting letters to form words, as well as a small calligraphy project. We will also review different materials and tools that can be used, including some of my personal favorites. 

The workshop will be 3 hours long of instruction and demonstration. All supplies are included with your ticket purchase, as well as a guide to take home with you. I like to keep the group small so that you each person gets enough individual attention.
